Meet The Team

Amber is responsible for managing the client accounting team.

Working to revolving deadlines she prepares and reviews financial statements and management accounts on behalf of private clients, entrepreneurs, trusts and corporate entities whose portfolios include multi-jurisdictional commercial and residential property, investment holdings and trading companies. Amber provides technical support and oversight both internally and externally, liaising with the Clients Services team, auditors and investment managers.

She is responsible for the preparation of the yearly accounts for managed funds and assists the tax department on an ad hoc basis.

Amber oversees the training and development of her team and all relevant Abacus staff to ensure professional compliance. She keeps up to date with industry updates and regulatory changes by regularly attending networking events and seminars.

During her career Amber has acquired a great deal of experience in assessing and submitting personal, trust, company and UK non-resident landlord tax returns, corporation tax returns, ATED and IHT returns and the preparation of iXbrl accounts.  She is adept at Isle of Man VAT returns, partial exemption calculations, Annual Returns, trust and company administration, payroll and billing.

Amber also has knowledge in managing Estates from applying for probate and arranging for the disposal of assets to the preparation of final accounts and tax returns.

Amber is a Chartered Certified Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and holds certificates in Data Analytics and Digital Innovation for Finance. She has completed an introduction to Leadership and Management course and was a runner up in the Young Accountant of the Year category at the 2020 Manx Accountancy awards.
