Abacus Trust Group is proud to support Hospice Isle of Man as its chosen charity for 2026.
The hospice holds deep personal significance for many within the company, and the team is committed to supporting the vital services it provides. In recent years, it has expanded its reach, offering care not only to patients but also to their families, friends, and carers, reinforcing its important role on the Island.
Each year, Abacus’ Corporate & Social Responsibility Committee develops a shortlist of charitable organisations, with employees voting to determine which cause to support. For 2026, Hospice Isle of Man was selected in recognition of its outstanding work supporting individuals with terminal or life-limiting conditions, as well as those closest to them.
Abacus will undertake a range of fundraising activities throughout the year. Managing director, Kevin Loundes said: “We all appreciate the value of the community we live and work in which is why there is a strong commitment to give something back. In 2025 the hospice received a cash contribution from the DHSC, which supported around 23 per cent of its annual £7.1 million running costs so we are looking forward to making a meaningful contribution to support them.”
Corporate Relationships & Events Executive, Vanessa Naude said: “We are incredibly grateful to Abacus for their generous support and commitment to fundraising for Hospice Isle of Man. Partnerships like this make a real difference to the patients and families we care for every day. In 2025, we supported 48 per cent of all deaths on the Island and received 715 referrals to our services, highlighting the growing need for our care within the community. Support from organisations like Abacus helps ensure we can continue to provide compassionate, specialist care to those who need us most, now and in the future.”
