Helge plays an important role in helping to maintain the Group's compliance and risk management framework, supporting a broad range of monitoring, reporting, and assurance activities across the business. Her work helps promote strong governance practices and ensures key compliance obligations are met.
Working closely with the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, Helge's responsibilities include regulatory reporting, the coordination of Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism, and Proliferation Financing monitoring programmes, and Compliance Monitoring Plan activities. She also assists with the preparation of internal, board-level, and statutory reports covering compliance, risk management, and data protection matters.
Alongside her compliance responsibilities, Helge works closely with colleagues across the Group, providing guidance and support on regulatory and risk-related matters. Her collaborative approach helps teams understand their obligations and promotes a culture of compliance, accountability, and good governance throughout the business.
As Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer, Helge draws on her experience gained within the finance and banking sectors. Her practical approach, strong technical knowledge, and attention to detail support the effective delivery of the Group's compliance and data protection responsibilities.
Helge holds an International Certificate in Compliance from the International Compliance Association and a National Certificate in Financial Management from Boland College in South Africa.
