With more than 25 years’ experience in the regulated financial services sector including holding Director, Company Secretary, Head of Compliance, MLRO, Risk Manager, and corporate governance roles, Richard combines technical expertise with strategic insight. His professional qualifications and hands-on experience enable him to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide authoritative governance, risk management and compliance leadership for the operational business.

Richard has overall responsibility for the organisation’s regulatory compliance, risk management framework, and corporate governance, ensuring full adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

He works closely with internal and external stakeholders, and leads a highly skilled and motivated team, fostering a strong culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct across the organisation.

During his career, Richard has also been a lecturer in governance and reporting for Governance Institute diploma courses and has represented professional bodies at government consultations and workgroups in relation to regulations and legislation.

Richard holds an MSc from the University of Exeter and is an associate of the International Compliance Association, a Chartered Governance Professional and a Trust & Estate Practitioner.
