Elaine oversees the people function at Abacus, providing guidance and support throughout the employee life cycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management, staff relations, and reward programmes.

With more than 25 years of human resources experience, Elaine has worked across a broad range of HR disciplines, helping businesses attract, develop, and retain talented individuals. Her experience includes recruitment, employee engagement, policy development, organisational change, and supporting managers and employees on a wide range of workplace matters.

At Abacus, Elaine is responsible for developing and implementing people-focused initiatives and ensuring the company maintains effective HR processes and procedures. She is leading the introduction of a number of key projects, including a new digital platform. Elaine also plays an important role in ensuring the business remains up to date with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

Known for her practical and approachable style, Elaine works closely with colleagues across the firm to foster a positive working environment and support the continued development of staff.

Elaine is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a BA in French and German from Bangor University. She has built a successful career in human resources, developing extensive expertise across all aspects of people management and organisational development.
